Palin immediately went to the doctor, who ordered different tests and a CT scan. She was also put on steroids and other medicines.
She said that “nothing came back” from the tests of CT scan and that her doctor “thinks it's just a case of Bell's palsy.”
Bell's paresis, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine, 'results of damage to the facial nerve' and influences a side of the face or head. The paralysis is not permanent and usually disappears automatically.
The temporary condition may be 'caused by stress or lack of sleep' – although Palin says that she has not been 'super stressed' lately.
“I know I look crazy now, but this has been such an improvement compared to what I looked like,” Palin told viewers while she took herself on day nine.
“I finally start to get some feeling back. It has been a bit painful in the last two days, which is a good indication that it gets better. '
She said his situation inspired her to be friendlier for herself.
“The next time I say that my nose is long and I want a nose job, I will remember this and I will just be so grateful that I have a normal, functioning face because this has been wild.”
Palin then revealed that she received frequent acupuncture to help her recovery.
