The Russian figure skaters Yevgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov are said to be on board the aircraft of the American Airlines that crashed against a Black Hawk -Helicopter about Washington.
Shishkova and Naumov, who were married, won the world championship in couples of art skating in 1994.
The Russian Tass News Agency run by the State reported this morning that they were on board the doomed flight, referring to a source.
If they are confirmed, they would be the first victims mentioned in the tragedy.
A regional passenger beam of the American Airlines and a Black Hawk helicopter of the US Army collapsed on Wednesday evening in the Potomac River after a collision for the air near Reagan Washington National Airport, officials said.
