Former press secretary of the White House Dana Perino praised the performance of the 27-year-old Karoline Leavitt, who informed reporters for the first time on Tuesday.
Leavitt, the youngest press secretary of the White House in History, returns to the stage on Friday afternoon.
Perino was the Republican President George W. Bush's fourth Pers Secretary – the second woman to ever have the job.
Now a political commentator from Fox News, Perino predicted on Thursday on Fox that Leavitt will be 'great'.
“She's young,” said Perino. “But she is wise further than her years.”
One thing that stood out on Perino was the fact that Leavitt “has access to the president.”
“That is something that someone did not have – and that would be the person in the last four years until the end if they had her access,” said Perino, a reference to former press secretary Karine Jean -Pierre of the White House.
Jean -Pierre did not reach the team of President Joe Biden until May 2020 – after he had completed the Democratic Primary – while a number of important advisers had already worked with him for decades.
Former Minister of White House, Dana Perino, praised the implementation of 27-year-old Karoline Leavitt, who first informed reporters on Tuesday
Karoline Leavitt wrote history on Tuesday, as the youngest person ever holding the position of the White House press secretary. She holds her second briefing on Friday
That became apparent when she took over from the Minister of White House, Jen Psaki in May 2022.
She had also spent her career as a political strategist – something Jean -Pierre was not left to talk about the podium of the White House.
Jean-Pierre often called the Hatch Act when he was asked political quetions by reporters.
Her lack of knowledge about foreign policy also created an interesting dynamic during half of the Biden administration, in which spokesperson for the National Security Council John Kirby often shares the briefings with Jean-Pierre.
“And Karine Jean-Pierre would also say that Joe Biden ran circles behind the scenes in the White House,” Perino noticed. “Absolutely not true.”
“And if you want to immediately trace how all Democrats lost, you can go to the biggest lie,” said the former press secretary. “And they were there.”
A number of reports followed the 82-year-old Biden over the reduced state in which he found himself and how the White House staff tried to hide it.
Leavitt has also made an eyebrow -increasing claim during its opening briefing – that the US was ready to send $ 50 million to Gaza for the purchase of condoms.
An official from the White House ran back that statement to the independent to explain that the $ 50 million more was generally related in health care.
Nevertheless, President Donald Trump repeated it the next day. And claimed that the condoms would be used to make 'bombs'.
During her opening briefing, Leavitt also opened two briefing room chairs – usually reserved for the staff of the press secretary – for 'new media' reporters.
She challenged the press not to lie – while she promised to tell the truth to the American people.
“We know for sure that there have been lies who have been pushed in the country by many Legacy Media about this president, about his family and we will not accept that,” she said. “We will call you if we feel that your report is wrong or there is wrong information about this white house.”
Leavitt also made it clear that the White House believed that all immigrants in the country are illegal criminals – and pushed that Biden, not Trump, was responsible for the high price of eggs.
'With regard to the shortage of eggs, as to also contribute to this, it is that the BIDEN administration and the Ministry of Agriculture have directed the mass murder of more than 100 million chickens – which has led to a lack of chicken supply in this country, therefore one Lack of egg supply, which leads to this shortage, “said Leavitt.
