A 16-year-old skater, who died tragically in the DC aircraft accident, landed one of the most difficult movements of skating just a few hours before his death.

Corynos, from Virginia, landed the Triple Axel for the second time in his career on Wednesday morning – only a few hours before he was on the doomed American Airlines Flight 5342.

The triple Axel-Die sees an athlete running three times in the air first carried out by the then 20-year-old Canadian Vernes Taylor, who landed it in a 1978 competition.

One of the most famous skaters to land the difficult movement is Tonya Harding, who was the first American woman to do it in 1991 at the age of 20.

Haynos had successfully landed the move in December, according to the New York Times, and landed a second time on Wednesday morning.

The moment was a big one for him because the coaches of the Development Camp were also there to explore future talents.

“He was so happy, just so happy,” our figure skating coach Mark Mitchell told The Times. He had seen the young man all week to 'fight' it and was just as overjoyed as the skater to see him complete it.

Haynos, his parents Roger and Stephanie Haynos, and several other skaters and their families and coaches from the camp died on Wednesday evening when their flight and an army brought in Black Hawk.

Haynos was one of the 60 passengers and four cockpit crew on board flight 5342.

Brielle Beyer, 12, was also part of the same club in Northern Virginia as Haynos. Ashburn Ice House coach Inna Volyanskaya also died on the flight.

Colleague skaters who also died are: Spencer Lane, 16; Jinna Han, 13; Alydia and Everly Livingston, 11 and 14; Sean Kay, Angela Yang and coaches Evgenia Shishkova, 53; Vadim Naumov, 56; And Alexandr Kirsanov.

At least 40 bodies have been recovered from the air collision that took place over the Potomac River.

The bodies of all four members of the cockpit crew – including someone who was only a few months away from a promotion and wedding – were also recovered from the rubble on Thursday.

The bodies of two of the three soldiers who flew into the helicopter have also been restored.

CBS News reported that a diving team had restored one of the two black boxes from the plane.

The American transport secretary Sean Duffy said that both the helicopter and the aircraft had flown normal flight patterns.

Several skaters from the same Kansas competition were also fleeing, which had no survivors, including Spencer Lane, 16 (Middle Rug), coaches Evgenia Shishkova, 53 (Middle Front); Vadim Naumov, 56 (right)

New Minister of Defense Pete Hegseeth said that the helicopter team was 'reasonably experienced' and carried out an 'annual skills training flight'.

“They did have a night viewer,” said Hegseeth in a video placed on X.

The Pentagon, the Ministry of Defense and the army have started investigation.

President Donald Trump has blamed diversity and inclusion for one of the deadliest aircraft crashes in American history.

Trump said in the White House and said that the tragedy could be prevented completely when he hit diversity, shares and inclusion (dei) recruitment practices in federal agencies.

He added that he had some 'pretty good ideas' about how the disaster took place and promised to ensure that it would never happen again.

Trump then said that he had first put 'safety', while presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden gave priority to politics and former transport secretary Pete Buttigieg called a 'disaster' in an extraordinary attack on earlier administrations.

“He was a disaster as mayor. He walked his city in the ground and he is now a disaster. He just has a good line of bulls ** t, “Trump said about Buttigieg.

Then he insisted that federal agencies should accept on the basis of intelligence rather than on diversity. He added that air traffic controllers should be 'geniuses'.
