A teenage driver 'could not delay' on a winding mountain road before he died in a frontal crash – only four months after passing his test.
Morgan Osbourne, 18, died after his Burgundian Ford Fiesta collided in the afternoon of 6 October 2022 with a Nissan Qashqai.
On Thursday, a study heard at Pontypridd Coroners' Court how passenger Shay Owen said to delay – and Morgan answered: “I try. '
The car then struck in an approaching Nissan driven by Sami Kearns on the A4093 in Hendreforgan, Gilfach Goch, in Wales.
Mr. Kearns said he heard a 'bang' when he rode around the bend and collapsed in frontal in Morgan's car and briefly spoke to Mr Owen, whom he believed in 'shock' after the crash.
The research heard other passers -by opening his sandwiched car door before trying CPR.
Morgan was rushed to the hospital, where scans showed that he had sustained a hypoxic brain injury. He died 14 days later on October 20.
Senior Coroner for South Wales Central Graeme Hughes said: 'While he drives his own vehicle at a speed that probably negotiated more than more than the left -hand man, he has ensured that it is the other side of the road and in a tampering vehicle. '

Earlier in the day, Mr. Osbourne accidentally put the wrong fuel in the car.
Owen, who had gone 15 at the time of the crash for a ride with Mr. Osbourne to 'burn fuel' before he went to McDonald's, Wales reports Online.
The investigation heard that Mr. Osbourne was braking when he entered the bend on the road and missed an oncoming car.
His Ford Festia then turned to the opposite job and hit Mr Kearns.
Mr Kearns said: 'I got out of my car within a minute. I was worried about a car that came at speed around the bend and initially did not see the crash.
“My car was pushed straight to the Grasberg. Morgan's car was a majority in my job. The back of his car was still partly over the central line.
'I always go between 30 and 40 on that bend. I know how dangerous that turn is. I know how many crashes have been on that turn and I am a very careful driver. '
Colleague driver Jonathan Guy got out of his car to approach the scene when Mr. Kearns told him: “It's my fault.”

Mr. Guy said to the investigation: “He continued to apologize. He said he looked down while driving and when he looked up, he was over the white line.
“When we started to help him, he said,” This is my fault. It's my fault. '
A registered nurse who was on the spot got out to help Mr. Osbourne after the crash, but found 'no signs of life' when she approached the car.
In 2022, Mr. Osbourne tributed, his family said: 'Morgan meant everything to us, he was not just a son, he was our best friend.
“He was loving and caring and would do everything for everyone. It is difficult to put into words how we all destroy are and what he meant for us. He was so funny and always made us laugh.
'It is difficult to describe the loss that we are dealing with. Morgan was taken much too early and we miss him every day. '
A preliminary cause of death was given as pneumothorax after traumatic cardiac arrest that led to hypoxic-scanning encephalopathy.
In October last year it was announced that teenage drivers could possibly be forbidden for the first six months to give lifts to their friends they spend on the road.

New 'limited license' proposals can be created for starting drivers under the age of 20 with the aim of saving lives.
Official figures show that the risk of a crash is at its highest during the first few months after a young driver has passed his test.
The RAC Foundation has proposed a new type of license for younger drivers after getting the support of relatives and road safety groups.
The research in Pontypridd continues.
