A criminal imprisoned for robbing a good Samaritan who had given him a lift, was only found in prison for two months in his six -year -old Stint behind bars.
Simon Kubalik had asked his victim, who was in his car in Harehills Lane, Leeds, to give him and a female companion a ride.
However, when 20-year-old Yob had driven to St Albans Road, he launched a wild and persistent attack on the good-hearted driver.
Kubalik repeatedly hit the stranger in the face and left the man a bloody mess, with several facial fractures that required surgery.
The criminal, from Beeston, then stole his victim's wallet and telephone before he fled. However, he was later traced by the police after he was identified and arrested at CCTV.
Kubalik argued guilty of the robbery of April 25 in October. The following month he was sentenced to six years in prison and was fined £ 228.
The robber served his sentence at HMP Doncaster.
But on January 16 he died in prison, reports the Manchester Evening News.

An investigation into his death was started by the prisons and probation service Ombudsman (PPO).
The probe will try to determine the circumstances around death, said PPO Adrian user.
A PPO spokesperson added that they were unable to share further information because the research was live.
After the punishment of Kubalik last year, detective Joe Kendrew of the Leeds District crime team said: 'This attack was so violent that it left its victim with several facial fractures that required different operations.
“I hope this outcome will be comforting him if he continues his recovery.”
