Danny and Leila Abdallah have shared a moving message about the fifth anniversary of the horror crash that claimed the lives of their three children and niece.

Antony, 13, Angelina, 12, and Sienna Abdallah, 9, and their cousin Veronique Sakr, 11, had gone to get ice when a drunk driver lost control of his car and plowed in on the sidewalk in the outskirts of Sydney in The suburb of Oatlands on February 1, 2020.

Since then, the couple has launched the i4Give day on the birthday of the crash every year in the conviction that sticking to resentment only causes more damage in the long term.

“Although we mourn and our hearts are broken, I think the best possible way out is through forgiveness,” Mr. Abdallah told the Weekend Sun Trade.

Mrs. Abdallah said that they both “think of their children every day,” but that this morning was particularly difficult and that she was crying.

“I see tears as a sign of strength,” she said.

'I decided to go to my knees to pray so that God can give me strength and simply concentrate on that message of forgiveness, the power and freedom.

'Life is short … we all deserve forgiveness and we earn it all to be forgiven. [It’s] For us more than the other person. When we hold the anger and pain, we only hurt ourselves. '

The couple said that their message was not only moving in Australia, but also beyond the borders of the country in the midst of the current unrest in the middle and Europe and the simmering division in Western countries.

“I can see what is happening all over the world and the only way is ahead of forgiveness,” said Mr Adballah.

“It influences our children about generations,” Mrs Abdallah added.

'For example, if people are separated, the children, they bully other people at school and some of them are self -damaging.

'If the mother and the father can forgive each other. YIt would see children who are a product of their own environment and deal with it in a much better way.

“I believe in God and Jesus said to us, we must forgive so that He can forgive us. So for people who have faith, it is essential to forgive so that we can enter eternal life. '

Mrs. Abdallah said that today she would reveal her 'four step to forgiveness' that comes from the initials of Antony, Angelina, Sienna and Veronique.

The couple has welcomed two children since the crash.

The family had long been fighting for the permanent monument, with sandstone skirting boards with faces of the four late children of the Abdallah and Sakr families.

The driver of the car, Samuel William Davidson, was under the influence of alcohol and drugs while he was behind the wheel and had driven it irregularly and drove it irregularly before the crash.

Davidson was convicted in 2021 to 28 years in prison with a non-conditional period of 21 years, which was reduced by a minimum of 15 years on appeal to a maximum of 20 years.

It was unveiled as he was planning behind bars with Maroniete Catholicism after the decision of the Abdallah family to forgive him.

In 2024, Daily Mail Australia revealed that Mr. Abdallah Davidson had successfully charged.

He sought compensation for his surviving children about the trauma of losing their brothers and sisters, including daughter Liana who witnessed the crash.

He received a modest $ 90,000.

The money will be held by the NSW -Trustee and Guardian for investments until each of the children – Liana, Alex and Michael – turn 18 years old.
