UFC Fighter Bryce Mitchell has apologized for his recent comments that Adolf Hitler praised and claimed that he is 'absolutely no Nazi'.
During his show 'Arkansanity', Mitchell called Hitler 'A Good Guy' who wanted to remove 'greedy Jews' from Germany. He also claimed that the Holocaust 'is not real'.
On Saturday, Mitchell posted a statement on his Instagram page that declined the comments.
“I'm sorry I sounded insensitive,” he said. 'I absolutely tried not to insult anyone, but I know I did. I know that many people died in the Holocaust, and that is a fact.
'Hitler has done a lot of bad things, I think we can all agree on that. I am absolutely not Nazi, and I certainly did not approve any of the bad things that Hitler did. '
Mitchell's comments were quickly denounced by UFC Chief Dana White, who called the hunter 'stupid and ignorant'.
Bryce Mitchell has described Adolf Hitler as a 'good guy' and denied that the Holocaust happened
Mitchell's last fight was on December 7 at UFC 310, where he eliminated Kron Gracie
“I have heard a lot of stupid and ignorant s *** over the years, but this is probably the worst,” said White.
Mitchell made the anti-Semitic remarks on his podcast earlier this week, alongside fellow guest lord Roli Delgado.
“I really think Hitler was a good guy based on my own research, not my indoctrination of public education,” said the 30-year-old.
'I really think that before Hitler came to meth, he was a man I was going to fish with. He fought for his country. He wanted to purify it by kicking the greedy Jews who destroyed his land and turn them all into gays.
“They threw out the children. They had been punished the women. They were out of the guys. '
When Delgado replied that it was “bad to put a whole race in Kampen,” Mitchell claimed that Holocaust is “not really”.
He continued: 'That is what your public education will tell you Roli because you believe your public education because you have not done your own research.
Dana White hit UFC hunter Mitchell after he described Adolf Hitler as a 'good guy'
“If you realize that there is no way to burn and have cremated six million bodies, you will realize that the Holocaust is not real.”
Hitler was chairman of the systematic murder of six million Jews throughout Europe between 1941 and 1945.
Despite his claims, Mitchell insisted that he is' not a Nazi ', adding to it:' He (Hitler) is not perfect. I am not a Nazi. I don't like Nazis. I don't want Nazis to win the war. I just say they were in a bad place when Hitler came to power. '
White made Mitchell's comments on a Power Slap -press conference and suggested that the hunter would not be punished because his controversial comments were 'freedom of expression.
“We immediately contacted Bryce when we read what he said, and let him know exactly how we felt about it,” he said. “But what he said was extremely disgusting and he needs a real education about the facts about Hitler and the Second World War.”
