A Hertfordshire companies that claims to have dropped five stones and dropped four clothing sizes thanks to an extreme diet consisting of 5000 calories of meat, butter and eggs per day.

Rachel Ashby, 41, from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, enjoy three steaks and a kilogram of chicken a day, as well as a whole stick of butter.

The four-year-old mother did not buy any vegetables in four years not for her children, from nine to 21 years old.

Although she still often visits the gym, she claimed that she is able to train much less often because her diet has contributed to stimulating her muscle mass.

Since the start of the eating plan – generally known as the Carnivore diet – in 2019, Mrs Ashby has fallen from size 18 to size 10 and has now been 'matched' with the famine signals of her body.

“I never have to go hungry or feel that I have to starve myself,” she said.

“I can just eat until I am full and satisfied, while I would ignore the hunger signals of my body.”

The idea for Mrs. Ashby's diet transformation came to her in 2019, after three years of several failed diets.

Mrs Ashby claims to have thrown four stones in four years with a diet with only meat.

Rachel Ashby, 41, from Hertfordshire, has praised the Carnivore diet for its impact on its weight in the past four years. Shown: before and after the diet

She experimented with everything, from calorie -counting to the keto diet, but often noticed that she returned to her original weight and felt 'lethargic and bloated'.

In 2019 she came across a video of Dr. Shawn Baker, a doctor who claims to have chronic, car -immune and psychological disorders in reverse due to the carnivore diet.

The diet consists exclusively of animal products, including meat, fish, eggs, animal fats and small amounts of low-lactose-dairy products, and it excludes all vegetable foods such as fruit, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds.

Doctors have long expressed concern about the diet and it is linked to various serious health problems, including heart conditions and some types of cancer.

According to the NHS, consuming too much meat can increase the risk of colon cancer.

It is thought that the risks lie with the alarmingly low levels of crucial fibers that the diet contains – a nutrient found in fruit, vegetables and carbohydrates that is linked to a large number of health benefits.

However, Mrs Ashby claimed that in this way she felt her 'more energetic' after just three days.

Within the first week she said she lost seven pounds, without following calories and just eating when they are hungry.

Since then she has been held on the diet – consuming around 5,000 calories animal products on a typical day.

“For breakfast I have ten eggs with a piece of butter and salt,” said Mrs. Ashby.

'I literally eat fat to taste, so if fat stops well to taste, then I stop eating, because that is when my body had enough.

'For lunch I cooked a kilo of chicken wings in the air fryer, and if I feel that I need the fat, I will also add butter.

“Before dinner I often have two ribeye steaks, and if I am very hungry or have a busy day and need extra energy, I have cooked three in butter.”

She goes through an impressive seven blocks of butter a week, but has surprisingly seen that her food accounts have not increased.

Mrs Ashby said that she did not buy any vegetables in four years - even for her children.

Speaking about the participation of her children in the diet, Ashby said: 'My oldest works and buys her own food, but my youngest son, oldest son and the youngest daughter all have moments when they are carnivore.

'They go in and out and if they go around someone's house or go to a party, they might have treats there.

'They are all aware of where the most important food comes from.

“They just decide a bit on their own to do it, and then they decide other times not to do it.”

While eating out, Mrs Ashby tends to order a steak with a side of eggs or a hamburger with cheese without the sandwich.

“The meat I eat, I think it's blue, just warm on the inside, but still red and bloody,” she said.

Mrs Ashby claimed that her mental health is 'transformed' thanks to her diet.

She used to be 'agoraphobic' and self -conscious about images of herself that were posted online.

“If someone took a picture of me, I would have it removed – it was pretty horrible,” she said. “I felt that my brain was toxic, and everything seemed pretty dark, but now I am happy all the time.”

In addition to changing her diet, she has even absorbed meat in her beauty routine by using beef seesaw as a hair mask and face monitor.

In 2023 she launched a cosmetics company, Tallow Glow, beef sold Fat Beauty products.

She added: “Since its use, it has reversed a lot of aging and my skin made so much better.”
