The Central Intelligence Agency has offered buyouts to his entire workforce in a clear attempt to adapt to President Donald Trump's ambition to purify government services.
CIA agents who accept the buy -out conditions would receive eight months of wages, together with all their benefits and rights, in exchange for their dismissal.
Two million federal employees were offered a generous buy -out schedule under the new Trump administration last week, because he strives to reduce waste and reform federal offices throughout the country.
The agency does not reveal its budget or the number of people it employs.
A spokeswoman for Cia told the Wall Street Journal that the decision to offer the buy -out in broad lines across the entire department was part of an attempt to 'penetrate the agency with renewed energy'.
The agency also freezes the hiring of jobs and all conditional offers already sent have been paused. Many of these will probably be withdrawn now, insiders warned.
The report of buyout offers is in line with a huge make -over from the American government that started by the Trump government, which has fired hundreds of officials in the first steps and put off game to reduce the bureaucracy and install more loyalists .
This is a crushing new story. More come.
