A mother in Seattle is accused of having beaten her teenage son so badly that she left more than a thousand bruises and cuts on his body.
Denaya Young, 29, is said to be furious with her son, 14, over his undone chores and hit him for three hours, until he stopped breathing on January 30.
The teenager died of the sudden inflammatory response syndrome, according to the medical researcher, which means that there was not enough to support his heart after he suffered so many injuries.
The police say that Young waited five minutes after her son stopped breathing before she called 911, as reported by Fox 13.
Then she told officers that “she had the anger got the best of her” and “lost count” of how often she hit the teenager.
The boy suffered at least 1,172 separate injuries during the abuse, according to the report of King 5.
She is accused of defeating the teenager with HDMI cord, even after he begged her to stop.
Young would have told the police that the boy said he was dizzy several times during the beating, but she thought he was lying.
