Robert F Kennedy Jr seemed to mix a mysterious blue dye in his drink while he traveled in a plane, in images that viewers have stunned.

The 72-year-old can be seen on video that adds drops of the cobalt blue liquid to what looks like a cup of water.

Some users of social media jokes made the liquid 'liberals' tears', referring to the protest among many left over the upcoming confirmation of RFK JR to lead the Ministry of Health and Human Services under President Trump.

It is unclear where and when the video was filmed and the images do not show that the former Democrat consumes the brew. But the clip spread on a large scale on social media last night, which led to widespread speculation about what it could be.

Some medical experts said that the blue liquid was probably methylene blue, an artificial dye that has become popular in wellness circles because of the potential health benefits.

Early studies have shown promise for the drug in the treatment of aging, dementia, lyme disease and even cancer – although the research in animals or on human cells has been instead of people.

It received attention last month when Mel Gibson claimed that three of his friends were released from their stage four cancer after taking a supplement regime that included methylene blue, although those claims were widely criticized as misleading by the medical community.

Some studies have even suggested that methylene blue could increase the risk of cancer in higher doses.

Dailymail.com has contacted the representatives of RFK JR for comment.

An X account posted the video on Wednesday and wrote: “What is RFK JR in his drink … ??” It is unclear where the video originally came from.

Dr. Jesse Morse, a doctor for sports medicine in Florida, posted on X: “That is methylene blue that RFK JR puts in his drink when I have ever seen it.”

Methylene blue was originally used as a clothing dye in the late 19th century before scientists used it to treat malaria in 1891.

It is thought that malaria parasites feed on red blood cells and they from hemoglobin juice, which helps to transport oxygen from the lungs to other parts of the body.

Methylene blue has been shown that the iron reverses and hemoglobin is recovering.

Nowadays, methylene blue FDA has been approved to treat methemoglobinemia, a blood disorder that affects fewer than 100 Americans a year that interferes with the ability of the blood to transport hemoglobin.

However, it has also been recommended for various off-label use.

Dr. Morse wrote on X: 'Personal for me it is my' unlimited pill '.

“It works great to help with brain fog, energy optimization, anti-aging, concussion, Alzheimer's / Parkinson's, Mold / Mycotoxin, Lyme and much more.”

Recent research has shown, for example, that methylene blue can have antioxidant properties that reduce the amount of toxic proteins in the brain that cause dementia.

However, experts have stated that more research is needed to confirm how effective the supplement is.

Methylene blue has also potentially demonstrated as a 'photo sensator' or a medicine used in light therapies to kill cancer cells.

But other recent studies have shown that methylene blue can be more likely to cause cancer when they are taken at high doses.

A study from 2017 also suggested that methylene blue has antioxidants that help the skin retain moisture, to protect it against signs of aging, wounds and UV damage due to sun exposure.

Social media users praised RFK JR for it possible with methylene blue in his drink.

One X user wrote: 'Guy is a machine. Confirm him now. '

Another wrote: “RFK JR, who supplements his drink with liberal tears.”

According to Cleveland Clinic, common side effects are blue urine, nausea, vomiting, skin discoloration, dizziness and headache.

The video comes days after users had seen RFK JR with Eagle eyes, which may be a jump during the first day of his confirmation hearing.
