A man who was previously imprisoned for manslaughter, threw a woman in his Ute with the intention of killing her after having hit his claims, has heard a judge.
Robert Joseph Keene, 44, Van Longreach, stood opposite the court of Brisbane on Thursday, after he had been guilty of one census of each abuse and armed attack that caused physical injury.
Chief judge Brian Devereaux heard that Keene was imprisoned in Tasmania in 2011 after he was found guilty of bashing his roommate John Douglas Wilson.
Crown officer of Justice Sam Poplawski said that Keene had repeatedly attacked a 26-year-old female neighbor in Loganlea, south of Brisbane on February 15, 2022 after she rejected his attempt to start a relationship.
The attacks culminated in Keene who lifted the woman at the back of her neck and threw her in the back of his ute, tore her leg while he closed the tailgate.
“When asked by the police why he placed the victim in the back of the Ute, said (Keene) that he” probably would hit her “, what he clarified, meant to kill her,” said Mr. Poplawski.
“He decided to do this what he seemed to regret at the time of the police interview.”
Judge Devereaux heard that Keene had previously entered the woman's house and started to abuse her verbally before she hit her four times.

The woman then went to Keene's house and started beating his car with a golf club.
Keene invited the woman to hit him with the club, what she did and broke the club head in his hand.
“He disarmed the victim and repeatedly hit her on the arms and legs (with the club),” said Mr. Poplawski.
Buren told Keene to stop, but he grabbed the woman and threw her in the Ute.
The woman was able to leave the stage after several people called the police and her leg injury was later treated with stitches.
Mr. Poplawski said that Keene had a history of abusing police, correction services, a young female shop assistant and an older couple in Queensland.
“(Keene) has a tendency to violence during a large time span that this insult is only a passage,” said Mr. Poplawski.
Defense warister Joshua Fenton said that Keene was removed from his parents at a young age and abused during institutional care.

“He suffers abnormality shortage of insanity … He has been diagnosed with complex PTSD. He was prescribed anti-psychotic medication, “said Mr. Fenton.
Judge Devereaux told Keene that he had committed serious violent violations while he was not provoked.
'Your behavior was very violent. It was bad enough to touch her with the (golf club). When people saw what happened, you threw the victim in your ute, “the judge said.
“It was humiliating. It would have been absolutely frightening. '
Keene was sentenced to prison for two and a half years and was ordered to be released immediately on conditional release because of his 417 days in pre -trial detention.
Judge Devereaux also imposed a suspended sentence of six months and told Keene that he would have a return to prison 'hanging over your head' if he experienced again for the next two years.
