Parents in Texas were advised that their children could be questioned about their immigration status and even deported during the driving school buses.
A grim letter went out to families on Wednesday whose students Alice ISD in Zuid -Texas attend – about an hour's drive from Corpus Christi.
With a largely Spanish student body, including some students who may not be legally in the US, the district stated that it has information that border patrol is on their way to extra curricular activities.
“If a student is found without the correct documentation, they can be removed from the bus, detained and possibly deported under the current immigration policy,” is the message of the superintendent.
“Moreover, if a student offers false information about his citizenship and is discovered later, this can lead to a permanent bar for future American citizenship.”
Illegal immigrant children have the right to register for American public schools, with most campuses that never inquire about their immigration status.
Alice ISD told DailyMail.com that interactions with border patrol agents have been told at well -known, permanent highway control points.
Usually stationed within 100 miles of the border between the US and Mexico, Borderpatrouille control points are stationary and known to travelers.

All northern traffic is and is always subject to inspection.
US Border Patrol did not immediately respond to a request from DailyMail.com- Asking what his specific protocol is for school buses and for questioning minors who may be without a parent or guardian.
The Trump government recently abolished long -term practices that would ensure that federal agents would go to schools and churches in search of illegal immigrants.
“Furthermore, we consider additional measures, such as having a designated chaperone vehicle travel with school buses,” the letter continues.
“In the event that a student is held, a school administrator could stay with the student in the Chaperone vehicle, while the rest of the group continues their journey.”
Despite the planning of the worst scenario, a district spokeswoman added that communication to parents was sent from an abundance of caution 'and that there was no specific incident that caused it.

The release of the letter comes in the midst of a national performance against illegal immigrants where Trump has promised to go behind criminal migrants or 'the worst first'.
However, Trump has promised to campaign anyone who is illegal in the country through the largest deporting operation in American history.
