A man is accused of making a death threat and anti -Semitic comments for a federal and Victorian state of MP.
The 33-year-old, from reservoir in northern Melbourne, was accused on Thursday of four counts of using a driving service to threaten, harass or give an offense and one counting of the use of a transport service to kill to kill .
Both costs have a maximum fine of five years in prison.
The man reportedly used social media to make the death threats and anti-Semitic comments to the NSW-based federal MP several times between January 16-18.
He is also accused of using social media to contact a Victorian state of MP in the same month.
A house search order was carried out by the Australian Federal Police and Victoria Police in the man's house on Thursday and various electronic devices were seized.
AFP Counter Terrorism and Special Investigations Command Assistant Commissioner Stephen Name said that the charges should be a warning for anyone who is considering similar behavior.

“Everyone who deals with this kind of regrettable behavior will be investigated, lying and brought to court,” he said.
'Parliamentarians and members of our community should not endure mean threats on the basis of their race, religion or ethnicity.
“The community must expect further costs, given the experienced team that works on special Operation Avalite has a number of people who are being investigated.”
The man received conditional bail and is planned to appear on 8 April for Melbourne Magistrates Court.
