Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might get the cold shoulder in California, but they can expect a much warmer welcome in Canada when they arrive today for the Invictus games.
Despite the freezing conditions, they are probably welcomed by the local population whose enthusiasm before the couple contrasts sharply with those across the border in the US.
The Duke and Duchess of the popularity of Sussex have taken a dip with the American media who turn against them. Residents in the super rich enclave of Montecito, where they live in a £ 10 million mansion, are reportedly also less than fascinated by their presence.
Celebrity Magazine Vanity Fair placed the couple on the front with the head 'America Hustle' who published a devastating decrease in their lives in America.
They were also recently criticized in their charity efforts to help people be left homeless after the devastating fires that Los Angeles transferred and were accused of 'ramptoerists' while Meghan's flowing Instagram video about securing some Billie Eilish T-shirts has been placed.
But in Vancouver, who organizes the Prince Harry inspired Invictus games for injured and sick military veterans, many of their fans are eagerly waiting for their arrival later today.
The couple are expected to make the 2.5 -hour flight from Santa Barbara Airport in a private chartered jet and checks in in a hotel in the city center.
It will be the fifth time that they have attended the Invictus games as a few that previously brought their star power to Sydney, Australia, The Hague in Holland and Dussldorf in Germany in 2023 where Meghan was harassed by enthusiastic fans.

Because locations in the city are finished, workmen have sub -temperatures under zero around locations such as the Congress Center of the city, where sporting events for wounded and wounded military veterans are held the following week.
Black and yellow banners with the Games Slogan 'I Am' were founded around the center on the water that will organize all indoor sports, including wheelchair basketball and volleyball.
Ravings around the location in the Coastal Canadian City and the BC Place Stadium, where Harry will welcome the 500 competitors from 23 countries, were released from snow and the land.
The temperatures will hardly exceed the freezing point with snow pans that are expected all week – a big difference for the warm winter weather in sunny California.
Their Montecito neighbor Katy Perry will perform on Saturday during the opening ceremony together with Chris Martin van Coldplay for a sold-out crowd of 40,000 spectators. Nelly Furtado, who previously performed at the 2007 concert for Diana, has also been invited to enter Harry's stage.
Coldplay Frontman Martin will sing the Invictus Anthem who has been asked to compose Prince Harry's song for the event. It will be the first time that he has performed the song for a live audience.
Harry will also give a speech that welcomes the wounded athletes and their families in games that will be divided between Vancouver and the Whistler ski area where the temperature during the day is expected to fall.
The locals said they are looking forward to seeing both the Prince and Meghan.
“I think they are welcomed very warmly here,” said Will Kostlivy, 42.
'I am from Toronto where Meghan' suits' filmed and was a big fan of her. She gets a bad press, but I still like it here. '

Aayush Damathia, 27, said he was happy that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would put the city in the spotlight and praised their efforts to emphasize problems that soldiers and women are confronted with.
“I think they are doing very well and doing their best to help people,” he said.
'I know that Vancouver people will enjoy having them here. I know they are no longer in the royal family, but so many people like them '.
Harry and Meghan are happy to be remembered in Canada who moved to Vancouver Island in 2020 when they left the royal tasks in what became known as 'Megxit'.
They later moved to Montecito in California, but Harry made two trips to the Vancouver, known as the city of Glass because of the large number of high -rise blocks, to promote the 2025 matches.
During the last matches in Dusseldorf, Germany in September 2023, Meghan received a rock star welcome every time they attended events – was harassed by fans and posing or selfies.
Locals expect similar scenes in the Vancouver Convention Center where the indoor sports are held and later in the Whistler ski area, where adaptive winter sports such as alpine skiing and snowboarding are performed.
Colin McCallum and his family had flown from their house in New South Wales, Australia to attend the competitions.
Navy veteran Colin will participate in four events and spoke strongly about Harry and his dedication to promote competitions and concern for the well -being of wounded and sick soldiers and women.
“He did fantastic work and I would be great to meet him,” said Colin who was in Vancouver with his wife Kryn and children 11 -year -old Josh and the 13 -year -old Stephanie.
Joanne Smit said she was a big fan of the royal family and said it was sad that Harry was no longer involved.
“He is such a good guy and was so popular. It is a pity that he does not go back to his family, but I think he now has his own life. “

Denise Anderson said: “Everyone knows who Harry and Meghan are and it's great that they are here and do so good work to make people aware of the games.”
Other locals also expressed their approval of the couple.
Meghan Davies, 35, said: 'I really love Meghan and how she comes up for herself. There are many people who want to bring her down, but he is very strong '.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will appear together in the first place on Saturday during the opening ceremony.
Harry will welcome the 500 competitors from 23 countries with his praise for those who participate in the tone for the Week of Events.
Meghan will be present, but is not planned to speak.
