Deadpool -star Ryan Reynolds has paid tribute to a young Wrexham -Superfan who died at the age of 15 after fighting cancer four times.
In the years prior to the death of Aiden Waller, Reynolds invited the schoolboy to join him after the bucket list of the young person to meet his acting hero.
Aiden traveled with his Van Essex family to watch the Wrexham match against Maidstone United in August 2022.
He met Reynolds and co-chairman of the club Rob Mcelhenney and was introduced to the players.
Aiden was first diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a very aggressive and rare bone cancer that is most common in children, in February 2022.
Aiden's mother Sarah Waller announced his death on Wednesday and thanked Reynolds for the friendliness he had shown her son.
She wrote on X: 'Aiden unfortunately died peacefully this morning. No pain and holding our hands. He fought a tough three -year battle with a force that we could only want.
'Smiling forever. @Vancityreynolds thank you for having a dream come true. '

Reynolds, who has 21.5 million followers, took the time to respond personally to Sarah.
He wrote: 'I'm sorry, Sarah. He was pure goodness. No parent can go through this. His visits were as much for you as for him.
“He had a sense of well -being and a feeling of calmness because you gave him yours. That sacrifice is unimaginable. You're happy in our club and city forever. '
Actor and co-chairman of Wrexham Rob Mcelhenney also shared his condolences on X.
He said: “Sarah, the power of Aiden was only matched by yours and the power of your entire family.
'I am honored that I met you all. Especially your dear boy Aiden. Thank you for that privilege and for repeating a light source in the world as long as he was with us. '

Speaking at the time of the visit to Wrexham, Sarah said: 'We were welcomed as a family, they were just small simple deeds of kindness that they didn't have to do, it made me cry.
'Ryan invited Aiden to the first row chairs to sit next to him for the game, it was just small things like that, who make the difference.
“He, Rob and Rob's family were all great, we could not consider any of them, they were all sober.”
