TV chef Gino d'Acampo served in prison for time after he broke into the house of pop star Paul Young.
The multimillionary star has recently been accused of a series of accusations of sexually inappropriate behavior, of which he denies misconduct.
However, he spent two years behind bars after stealing £ 4,000 to guitars from Young, along with cherished memories of the deceased wife of the singer Stacey.
D'Acampo – who then became one of the favorite TV chefs of the UK – worked as a waiter at the time of the raid in 1998 and had fallen with a bad crowd.
However, the famous chef turned out to be a hopeless criminal after the police found the DNA of d'acampo on a cigarette kitchen that he had left on the spot.
D'Acampo, now 48, recalled suspicions with staff in a pawn shop for the first time when he tried to sell the rare instruments – and produced his real driver's license as proof of identity.
The valued guitars were discovered in a barn in the backyard of d'acampos then at home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
After the Family Fortuin presenter had hit the great time, Young told how he had forgiven the star, but later spoke about the pain he had endured after Stacey died of brain cancer in just 52 years in 2018.

The trek had recordings of her voice that never returned.
Young, 69, said: 'When Stacey went, there were certain pieces of music that I never returned.
“Let's say that – and that hurt me.”
D'Acampo spoke with Birmingham Live in 2019 in 2019 and thought about the incident as a 'wrong' and said: 'I was a very young boy … you make those mistakes.
“The secret is to learn and continue.”
