A woman from Louisiana has unveiled the secret until her long life, while celebrating her 106th birthday.
Arnita Bennett Smith from Monroe In the northern part of the state, the world wars, the civil rights movement, the invention of television and the rise of the digital age lived.
Unbelievable, the centenary born in 1919 continues to lead an independent life and is still cooking for himself.
'I love ox tails, pork tails, all that, chicken. I can cook it, “she told Knoe 8.
Smith says that the secret of all this is her 'faith' that she says it has been the cornerstone of her long life.
'I'm fine. The Lord blesses me and I am still able to move, “she said gratefully.
She says that the belief is that helped her through times of hardships, supported her by moments of illness and kept her mind strong.
While she still marked a milestone birthday, she was surrounded by different generations of her family who all meet to celebrate her extraordinary life.

But there was no big party or even a cake filled with candles. Smith said that only having her family have close to her and that their love was more than enough.
And she says that even on days when she did not feel at her best, the presence of her family helped to lift her mind, so that she is worn by the most difficult moments of life.
Although many hundred -year -olds live with care providers or in assisted residential facilities, Smith remains fel self -sufficient, just asking for help when she really needs it.
Smith has lived all her life in northeastern Louisiana. She and her deceased husband founded the first Pilgrim Baptist Church in Monroe, a place of worship that still remains an important part of her family's life to this day.
Her granddaughter, Laconstica Smith, says she learned a lot from her grandmother.
“You can't measure that. That kind of wisdom, that kind of love, that kind of grace, “said Laconstica.
