President Trump has expanded his $ 10 billion lawsuit against CBS News after the release of the unprocessed version of the '60 minutes' interview of the network with Kamala Harris.
The legal team of the president submitted an update to his court case on Friday and added the paramount Global of CBS as a defendant because the heavily processed interview was shown on the Paramount+ streaming platform.
Congressman Ronny Jackson, a closest ally of Trump, was also added as a plaintiff, because he is 'a consumer of temporary and digital news media content', and 'thus injured by the behavior of defendants claimed here,' said the updated lawsuit.
The new application, reported for the first time by FOX News, contains several fragments from the unprocessed interview by Harris, with the argument that they prove that CBS News has cut out unflatter comments to help the democratic nominee in the elections.
“As soon as the defendants finally released the unprocessed version of the interview, it became clear that they are concerned with the gross broadcast emission,” the court case claims.
Trump's lawyers mentioned an exchange where Harris gave a lengthy, walking answer about Benjamin Netanyahu, while CBS only broadcast about seven seconds of her comments.
“(CBS News) Not only manipulated Harris's answer about Prime Minister Netanyahu, but the interview as a whole,” is the court case.
The legal team of the president has also submitted an application for freedom of information to the FCC to obtain all information about the handling of his CBS court case, including FCC chairman Jessica Rosenworcel.
