A Milwaukee woman who was placed on a living support for two months says that a food tube was left in her body for three decades, which caused her continuous pain and health complications.
Deborah Lowe brought a lawsuit on Wednesday and accused the Mount Sinai Medical Center, which has since been renamed Aurora Sinai Medical Center, in Milwaukee of 'medical negligence'.
“How can they do this, who could make this mistake?” She told the CBS58 through tears. “This is too much, I should not endure this.”
In 1989 Lowe was admitted to the Mount Sinai Medical Center to deliver her twins through a C section.
The procedure did not go as planned, so she needed an 'emergency aid hysterectomy', after which she was placed on a livet support for two months.
“I had tubes everywhere,” she said. “Feeding tubes, everything on me.”
The two -year -old mother said that a food tube was inserted during this time, but it has never been removed and claims that the tube caused her pain since 35 years ago.
“Since 1989 I couldn't do things. I had migraine, shortness of breath and my stomach swollen, “she told Fox6. “I was 25 years old. That is my whole life. '

The Milwaukee-Native made various hospital visits in the years since its total hysterectomy.
In 2010 she went to a hospital and complained about abdominal pain and was evaluated. She also underwent colonoscopies in 2013 and 2023, but there was never an answer to her pain, according to the court case.
Subsequently, Lowe underwent a colon procedure in April 2024 when the doctor in the Froedtert Hospital, also in Milwaukee, discovered the tube from her procedure in 1989, according to judicial documents.

Now the shocked woman complains for medical negligence, violation of fiduciary duty and emotional need.
“They took my entire life,” she said. 'I was only 25 years old, and I could no longer have children, now I still go through things. I can't do things that I used to do. '

Lowe's lawyer said that the case is 'more than just a personal tragedy' and hopes that the suit will offer change to protect future patients against similar incidents.
“We believe that this is the most serious example of medical negligence in the state,” Lamarr said, adding that Lowe's case “is the most shameful alleged negligence,” he has ever seen.
Lamarr wants his ailing client to 'rightly be compensated' and that the medical staff involved is held responsible and a jury test demands.
Aurora Health Care has since claimed that it has been 'not legally registered' of the court case.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the health care company said: “We were not legally informed of this lawsuit and cannot comment any further.”
