A father is open about the moving moment when his daughter's hand slid out of times before she was hit by a vehicle on the way to the church.
The slow-moving vehicle met the 11-year-old girl while she crossed the road with her family on Appleby Road, Stafford Heights north of Brisbane on Sunday morning.
The horrific incident unfolded outside Stafford Heights Baptist Church, where the family was about to attend the weekly sermon.
The girl was treated on the spot for face injuries before being brought to the children's hospital of Queensland in a stable state.
“My daughter left my hands and the car hit her. I don't know what happened, Sui Dun told the Courier Mail.
“She's now in the hospital, she's good, her right jaw has scars and grazing.”
The accident unfolded for churchgoers, including Pastor Cungbik Kingbawl.

“They crossed the road here, I came there and I saw the driver,” he said in reference to a pedestrian island in the middle of the road, “the pastor told the publication.
He added that the church would pray for the family after the accident.
The church houses masses for 'Congregations of the Chin People from Myanmar' on Sunday, according to its website.
It is assumed that the driver of the vehicle remained on site for a short period, but left before the emergency services arrived.
The driver left their telephone number with witnesses on the spot.
The Queensland police have started an investigation into the cause of the crash.
