A fast -moving storm that travels through the northeast with a 'dangerous' combination of snow and ice has forced hundreds of flights to be canceled when thousands go without electricity.
The Wilde again started on Saturday evening about parts of the Upper Great Lakes and was intensified when it moved to the east – over large cities, including Boston and New York in White.
More than 3,300 flights to, from or within the US were delayed and at least 300 were canceled on Saturday, according to Flight consciously.
“Because of a winter storm in the northeast, Boston Logan expects delays and cancellations,” said the airport on Saturday afternoon.
Philadelphia International Airport also acknowledged that it again influenced their flights before Super Bowl Sunday.
About 68 million people from the midwest to the northeast are under serious warnings in the winter weather, CNN reported.
“A good thing with this storm, it is moving pretty quickly, so it will not be a long -term winter reduction,” said Bob Oravec, main predictor with the National Weather Service in College Park, Maryland, told The Associated Press.
“It seems that the snow will certainly end earlier in the day, after which it will be quite quiet for a few days.”
