King Charles will reveal his last garden work in Balmoral Castle in just a matter of weeks.
A site loved by the late Queen Elizabeth, Balmoral Castle, located in the Highlands, has been the Scottish house of the royals since the mid -19th century.
The gardens of the castle have been developed and expanded by successive royals, but now, in his last copy of gardening, King Charles will reveal the new and improved Balmoral Gardens on April 1, 2025.
A statement issued by the castle read: 'From Tuesday 1 April to Sunday 10 August you can explore our site, gardens, exhibitions and more.
'Visitors get the chance to discover the exciting changes that the king made in the gardens, including the Thistle Maze, the Celtic Maze Garden and new plantations of trees, shrubs and Topiary.
“In 2025, the exhibition in the Balzaal will continue the garden theme, present the history of the gardens of Balmoral Castle in the past 170 years and offer a look at the vision of HM King Charles III for the future.”
While the gardens have to open for a few more weeks, King Charles's maze is already open to the public, only the second royal maze in 300 years.
It has trees that sprout a few feet to the sky and a mini castle tower and was built directly in front of the castle near the iconic garden shed.
And in a particularly stylish touch, the gates of the maze are specifically designed to display the initials of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

King Charles himself emphasized his deep dedication to the preservation of the Caledonian forest in the Scottish Highlands and said: 'For me, one of the most precious and almost sacred parts of the countryside around Balmoral is an area of the old forest that forms one of the forms Few remains of the Great Caledonian forest that covered many of the highlands.
“The fact that this part of it still exists in Balmoral is completely due to the intervention of my back-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria.”
The new site in Balmoral is not the first experience of the king with the design of Maze, but he was too involved in the establishment of the first Royal Maze in three centuries in Dumfries House in Ayrshire.
The foundation of the then Prince, now King's Foundation – who has his head office in the stately house that Charles saved for the nation – took the project nine years ago.
Inspired by memories of his youth, Charles wanted to make the green puzzle north of the border.
