A baby died in the hospital after a 'non -reporter' was found after a major reaction to the emergency services in a house in western Sydney.
Emergency services were called to Whalan, 45 km west of Sydney's CBD, at around 10 a.m. on Monday after a 'care for welfare report' with regard to a child.
Various police vehicles and ambulance censuses hurried to the house of Goroka Street, where paramedics did not 'respond' the baby.
Paramedics treated the child on the spot before having the child to the hospital, but the child died a short time later in the hospital.
The police have since started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the baby's death.
“An investigation into the circumstances around the incident has begun,” said NSW police.
“However, is not treated as suspicious. A report will be drawn up for the coroner. '
