Elon Musk hinted on Monday morning with the federal agency his Ministry of Government Efficiency (Doge) could then be closed after closing USAID last week.
The billionaire 'First Buddy' by President Donald Trump has had a rampage with his new power over the US government.
He said his DOGE team discovered Monday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sent payments of $ 59 million last week to luxury hotels in New York City to accommodate illegal immigrants.
Musk now demands that the agency, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), stimulates a Klawback question.
It is unclear whether the question will be met, but if so, FEMA could recover the millions in already divided funds.
“Sending this money has violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the executive order of the president,” said Musk on his X platform on Monday.
He added: “That money is intended for American disaster relief and is spent instead of high -end hotels for illegal immigrants!”

The federal government among former President Joe Biden was confronted with play for housing migrants in hotels instead of spending money on arrest and deportation efforts. The earlier administration also devoted funds to offering other assistance to illegal immigrants, including giving mobile phones.
FEMA falls under the goal of the DHS Secretary Kristi Name.
The former governor of South Dakota said on Sunday that if Trump asked her to Fema, she would recommend that he 'lost' the desk.
It only came a week after the thousands of employees with USAID (United States Agency for International Development) woke up last Monday with e -mails and instructed them to stay at home because the Washington headquarters, DC, was closed.
Others were shocked to be out of their work systems last week – and those overseas were told that trips back to the US would be arranged within 30 days.
FEMA could be the following on the chopping block, but it evokes concern for those who are worried that Americans who are confronted with emergency situations and natural disasters no longer receive much -needed government support when they are in the future in these situations.

DHS secretary Kristi said she would recommend that Donald Trump would close Fema, at least in the way it exists today '
“If the president came to you and said: You are my DHS secretary, you think I have to get rid of Fema, what would you say?” CNN -Gastheer Dana Bash asked on Sunday during an interview about State of the Union.
“I would say, yes, get away from Fema as it exists today,” Secretary called.
“We still need the resources and funds and finances to go to people with these types of disasters such as Hurricane Helene and the fires in California,” she deteriorated somewhat. “But you must let the local officials make the decisions about how that is used, so that it can be used much faster.”
“We don't need this bureaucracy who chooses and chooses winners,” said the DHS secretary.
