Intermittering fasting can help with delaying or even reversing the signs of Alzheimer's disease, a new study suggests.
Researchers who eat in a 10 -hour window every day can improve cognitive function and reduce the accumulation of amyloid protein, a characteristic sign of the disease.
For people who have breakfast at 8 o'clock, this would mean that you cut food at 6 pm.
The study in mice also discovered that time of limited food improvement of their memories and sleep patterns caused, which suggests that the diet cannot only protect against dementia, it can reverse its symptoms.
Dr. Paula Destplats, a neuroscientist on the San Diego of the University of California and senior author of the study, said: 'Unfortunately, Alzheimer's touched my family, and I always wanted to do translational science and somehow reach patients.
“Time -limited food is a strategy that can easily and immediately integrate people in their lives.”

Researchers noted that about 80 percent of people who suffered from the experience of Alzheimer's circadian rhythms, including sleeping and deteriorating the cognitive function during the night.
The circadian rhythm is described when the 24-hour internal biological clock of the body that regulates physiological processes, including sleep, body temperature, metabolism and hormone release.
Many times patients wake up in foreign hours at night and are active in a state of confusion, causing their risks to be injured.
This disturbance in their sleep cycle is one of the main reasons why many patients of Alzheimer's need residential care.
“We assumed that these circadian disruptions that were seen in people with Alzheimer's were a result of neurodegeneration, but it can be the other way around,” said Destplats.
“Circadian disruption can be one of the most important factors of Alzheimer's pathology.”
The study, published in magazine cell metabolism, focused on the relationship between Alzheimer's and the circadian rhythm by placing a group of mice that was genetically modified to develop a version of Alzheimer's on different diet patterns.
The genetically modified mice showed signs of poorer memories, hyperactivity in the night and had developed amyloid deposits in the brain.
While the inspections were given food at regular intervals, those in the experimental group could only eat every day within a six -hour window.
It remains unclear whether they were fed in the morning or evening.

There was no difference in quantity and nutritional value in the food. The experiment ran three months.
At the end, the results showed that the mice that were forced to fast every day every day showed changes in dozens of genes associated with Alzheimer's.
The rodents yielded better cognitive test results, slept better and showed an improved circadian rhythm.
Moreover, scientists saw a breakdown in existing amyloid molecules and a decrease in the speed of their structure.
“We started to see that even the existing amyloid plaques began to be fragmented and reduced the size,” noted Dr. Destplats.

Dr. Paula Desplats, an author of the study, claims that limiting the eating window can protect the cognitive function
“And that means that they were cleaned up by the system.”
The results indicated that intermittent fasting can reduce the development of amyloid molecules in the brain by regulating the circadian rhythm.
Intermittering fasting is a diet plan where you alternate between periods of food normal and extensive breaks when you eat little or no food.
It is known that the plan helps people to lose weight and see improvements in disorders of chronic diseases.
Circadian rhythm – fasting, a kind of intermittent fasting, is a time -restricted schedule in which a person eats all his food over a time of hours in the earlier part of the day – ideally between a 12 -hour window and fast for the rest.
It is known that disturbed circadian clocks influence the sleeping schedule, body temperature, hormone levels and digestion, but aligning the eating schedule with the natural circadian rhythm of the body can balance the clock and regulate the brain function.
'By aligning food intake to the light-dark cycle, TRF has effectively introduced the peripheral circadian clocks and she synchronizes them with the main clock.

Apart from helping improve the circadian rhythm, this type of fasting can also lower blood pressure, reduce the sober insulin levels and sober glucose values - in turn, help diabetes patients.
Popular celebrities such as Beyoncé, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Aniston, Vanessa Hudgens, Jimmy Kimmel and Terry -Bewers are all known that they are following the intermittent sober diet plan.

At that time she said that she fast every day and reserves Sunday like her 'cheat day'. She also works five times a week to do activities such as yoga and boxing.
