Boomers who fight to save their community pub have become viral after they have filmed themselves with Gen Z Snake in a new tap.
The Elm Tree Inn in Langton Herring, Dorset, runs the risk of permanent closure after closing its doors in November 2023.
Since then, the local population has been on a mission to get their 400-year-old Boozer going again as a non-profit community assistant to a popular new tactic to attract the attention of young viewers.
In a viral clip on social media, Boomers supplied modern terms such as 'Delulu', 'Rizz', 'Morte the Tea' and 'Brat Summer' while discussing their love for the historic inn.
The video, entitled 'POV: Your Gen Z daughter, writes the campaignscript to save your Village Pub', was directed by the young daughter of a campaigner who was visiting the Christmas holidays.
The clip starts with two customers stood outside the beloved inn. “We felt our salt about closing our village pub,” says one.
The other adds: “We may be Delulu, but we try to save our pub from being brought down, along with the rich history of 400 years.”
At another hilarious moment, a man discusses the dark past of the pub and said: “Did you know that in the 1780s a fisherman was hung at the bar of the pub for lying about the size of his catch?”
His co -star answers: “Oh, that's what happened to Tommy – I thought he was having it.”
