President Donald Trump wants to send IRS agents to the border with Mexico to remove illegal migrants.
The tax officers would be collected to arrest, hold and transport people out of the country.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Name early in a memo treasury secretary Scott Bessent to do the transition to help Irs agents helping immigration enforcement efforts throughout the country.
Call that her department needed the help to implement the executive order of Trump to “protect the southern border and force the immigration laws.”
In the memo, dated February 7, it is called: 'It is the understanding of DHS that the Ministry of Treasury has qualified law enforcement staff available to help enforcement of immigration, especially in the light of recent elevations of the worker of the internal Revenue Service, '

The IRS, of its 100,000 employees, has more than 2,100 trained law enforcement officers who help investigate tax legislation and other financial crimes.
The agency is responsible for collecting taxes and enforcement of related laws, but the criminal researchers also work on exposing drug trafficking, money law and corruption.
Call that the agents could help with the audit of employers who believed they have hired illegal migrants and investigating human trafficking.
When it comes to combating illegal migration, the Trump government has followed an entire government approach.
The Pentagon has sent around 1500 active soldiers to the southern border to contain illegal migrants. Trump also wants to send migrants to a detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Trump has long made the border protection a top priority. On his first day in office, he signed an executive order to terminate programs that President Joe Biden set up that offered migrants opportunities to apply for asylum as soon as they were in the United States.
The president also declared border crossings an 'invasion'.
US Customs and Border Patrol registered 582 illegal crossings from the border between the US and Mexico last month.
It is the lowest number that the agency has registered in years. But figures have been in the trend for the past two years.
Trump has also focused on the IRS. He said before he wants to redeem his agents to new responsibilities.
'We are developing a plan to end them all or maybe we will move them to the border. I think we will move them to the border, “he said in January of IRS agents.
The BIDEN administration has performed the IRS financing and the staff and ordered the agency to do more audits and combat companies.
