President Donald Trump is expected to grant a complete grace to former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
Trump previously converted the Democrat punishment in February 2020, while the Republican President applied for re -election.
At the time, Blagojevich had served for eight years of a 14-year prison for payment for payment-to-play declarations, because the governor was accused of trying to sell the Illinois Senate seat by President Barack Obama after Obama won the 2008 presidential elections.
“He served eight years in prison, a long time. He seems like a very nice person, don't know him, “Trump told reporters at the time.
The two had interacted in 2010 during a filming of season 3 of Celebrity Apprentice, in which Blagojevich briefly was a participant.
In recent days, Blagojevich is said to be Trump's choice to serve as an ambassador in Serbia.
Axios first reported on Monday about Trump's plans to issue a complete grace.
While Blagojevich served as a democratic governor and a member of the congress, he was a fully-fledged Trump supporter by 2024.
Former Democratic Illinois Government Rod Blagojevich (Left) is expected to receive a complete grace from President Donald Trump (right), because it is rumor that he is the choice of Trump to become an ambassador in Serbia
He was one of the former Democrats who attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July.
During the run-up to the election day, Blagojevich threw Trump to groups of Serbian Americans.
The father of Blagojevich is Serbian.
That has now brought him into a strong position for the American ambassadorship.
At the same time, an American politician earns imprisoned for corruption in a country that is known for problems with political corruption, perhaps not enough support from 'Blago' in the US Senate, where his nomination would need a confirmation.
