The mayor Eric Adams, the legal problems of New York City, can be over, after the Ministry of Justice of Donald Trump had asked the federal prosecutors to drop his corruption case.
Adams was accused of conspiracy in September to commit wire fraud, bribery of the federal program and to receive the campaign contributions from foreigners.
He is also accused of cheating NYC taxpayers of $ 10 million by alleged fraudulent campaign funds.
Adams did not argue with his preliminary guide and claimed that he did nothing wrong after he had become the first mayor in the history of the city that was confronted in office.
Trump's acting deputy attorney General Emil Bove sent a memo to the southern district of New York and claimed that the former American lawyer accused of Manhattan Adams for his own political profit.
Bove – who used to work for SDNY – claimed that Adams, a Democrat, was the victim of the armed Ministry of Justice of Joe Biden.
He added that the timing of the charges and 'more recent actions' by the former American lawyer who led the office, Damian Williams, 'threatened the integrity of the procedure', among other things by increasing the increasing preferred publicity that runs the risk the potential witnesses and the influence to have jury pool. '
The deputy AG did not try to free Adams, but said that the charges were made as an attempt to push the mayor out of office before he faces a Democrat Primary in June.

Bove claims that the charges must be again evaluated after the 2026 elections.
Dailymail.com has contacted the mayor's office and the Ministry of Justice for comment.
The development comes after months of speculation that the Ministry of Justice of Trump would take steps to terminate the criminal case against Adams, accused of accepting bribes of free or discount on travel and illegal campaign contributions.
Trump had indicated a pardon in December on the possibility of a grace and told reporters that the mayor “had been treated pretty unfair.”
He had also claimed, without providing evidence, that Adams was prosecuted for criticizing the policy of former President Joe Biden about immigration.
After Trump's inauguration, Adams lawyers had approached the officials of the Supreme Ministry of Justice and asked them to intervene and drop it.
At the end of 2023, Adams stated that he was 'extremely comfortable' with how he and his campaign team act, despite the house of his best fundraising that was robbed by the FBI.
The raid was part of an investigation into an alleged return scheme in which the Turkish government and a construction company in Brooklyn was involved, according to a report.

The Brooklyn House of Brianna Suggs was searched while he was on his way to meetings in Washington DC, forcing him to cancel abruptly and return to 'dealing with an issue'. The timing was intentionally, sources said.
Adams does not directly refer to the raid, or has tackled his work with suggs, but said he would collaborate with the investigation.
He said to ABC News: 'I feel extremely at ease about how I adhere to rules and procedures.
'I am sticking to a high standard, and I keep my campaign on a high standard, and I keep my staff in the town hall a high standard.
“I am very clear that it is my responsibility to keep myself a high standard and I will meet every research that is being done and I demand the same thing to do the same.”
