A receptionist from Harley Street claims that she was physically attacked by the late Evelyn de Rothschild – who sent flowers as an apology after the police did not serve him.
The high-end dental practice was behind the reception in the London Clinic when the bankingfulcoon, at the time 89 years old, came in to be treated for toothache.
Reminding the 'frightening' experience of the mailonline, the woman said not mentioned under the condition of anonymity that she had greeted Rothschild at the entrance before he asked that he set up a PPE face mask.
“It was the height of the Covid 19 Pandemie, I asked him to put on his mask and he placed it in the wrong way,” said the receptionist.

But according to the dental practice, Rothschild exploded in a flurry of anger, pushed her out of the way and stormed past the clinic.
Two other women had also been to the room at the time, the receptionist said, but “they were too afraid to step in.”
“The dentist still saw him after that, and I thought that was disgusting what he had just done to me,” said the receptionist, adding that Rothschild was not a regular patient in the clinic.
While he continued to his appointment, the receptionist continued to “cry and shaken” before talking to her manager and to inform her that she was going to submit a report to the police about the attack.
She filed a complaint with Charing Cross Police Station, but was stunned and disappointed by their response.
The police are said to have told her that they could do little, because it was reportedly the first violation of Rothchild.
“Only two to three months later, the police came back with an update,” she said.
“They told me they had spoken to him, they had gone to his house, but all they could do was warn him with a common attack.”

'I was certainly not going to damage you or to alert you in any way.
'I am deeply regretted that I upset you and hope you can accept my apology.
“I would really like to send you flowers as a sign of my regret, but first wanted to check whether you would be willing to accept them.”

Rothschild ended the note and said that if the receptionist was willing to accept the flowers, he would ensure that they would be sent to her workplace before he apologized again.
