Signs indicate that Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, could play a more prominent role in relations in the Middle East in the second administration.
Kushner initially said last February that he would not have a role in a second term after he was served as a senior adviser for the last time as a senior adviser.
But when the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Washington last week, DC, for meetings with Trump, he was also private with Kushner, according to Axios.
Bibi and Kushner discussed the recently proposed plans of the US President to rebuild Gaza, detailed two sources with knowledge of the meeting. They also discussed other matters with regard to relationships between Israel and the Middle East.
It comes after Trump was announced in an interview that was broadcast on Monday evening that he sees no situation in which Palestinians could return to the only country they have ever known as at home if he would go and help develop the war -torn Gaza Strip.
In the first term of Trump, Kushner helped to negotiate the Abraham agreements in a historic step to forge relationships with Israel and his neighboring countries in the hostile region.
And there were reports that Kushner, who is married to Trump's oldest daughter Ivanka, would take on an unofficial adviser from Afar with regard to matters in the middle -east.

In the meantime, his wife and mother of his three children would stay on the sidelines in Florida and not get involved in any capacity of her father's second term after a 2017-2021 adviser.
Ivanka and her son Theodore attended Super Bowl 59 on Sunday with the president in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She said earlier on the lean confidential podcast that this time she just wants to be the emotional support of Trump.
'I am most looking forward to being able to appear as a daughter for him and to be there for him, to take things and like to watch a movie with him or watch a sports game, to know he Can be with me and be himself, and just relax, “she said.
“It's the world's lonely position, the enormous size of the decisions you make every day, how transactional everyone is with you,” she added. “So it's a very lonely perch.”
She made it clear that she will not play a formal role in the second Trump administration.
“I went through for years,” she said about her first term of office in the White House.
Trump sent the world in a fight last week when he said during a press conference that the US would be involved in developing and rebuilding Gaza to make it a desirable destination.
The luxury real estate developer president has long since hyped the beautiful weather and location of the Palestinian stronghold of Gaza, from which Hamas terrorists operated and served as the actual government.
Trump doubled on his pitch for the Gaza takeover in an interview that was broadcast on Monday and revealed that he has no plans to give Palestinians the right to move back.
“I am dedicated to buying and owning Gaza,” said the 78-year-old at Air Force One on the way to the Super Bowl on Sunday.
But Trump stated with regard to reconstruction, the US could give sections to 'other states in the middle -old' to develop.
Asked by Fox News -Gastheer Bret Baier or Palestinians would have the right to return to Gaza, Trump said, “No, she wouldn't do that because they will have much better housing.”

“In other words, I'm talking about building a permanent place for them,” he kept full. 'Because if they have to return now, it will take years before it could happen. It is not habitable. '
Aid organizations claim that many parts of the Gaza Strip are no longer habitable because of the destruction that was the result of the Israel-Hamas war after terrorists invaded the only Jewish state in the world in October 2023.
Some estimate that it could take between 10 and 15 years to rebuild Gaza to the point that they are habitable again.
He said that the US would probably give sections to 'other states in the middle' to develop in Gaza.
“See it as a real estate development for the future,” Trump said in his pre-taped Fox interview. “It would be a beautiful piece of land.”
