A senior agent who was found dead in a police station in the CBD of Sydney has been identified.
Senior Constable Mark Hobson, 52, was found dead on Monday morning by colleagues in the Sydney police center in Surry Hills.
The death of the senior agent Hobson, who is called 'a very sad day' for the NSW police, is not treated as suspicious.
“Our hearts go out to the officer's family,” said NSW police commissioner Karen Webb. “Every support will be available for staff and family affected by this tragedy.”
Senior Constable Hobson Goulburn Police Academy in 1996 at the age of 24 and became a probationary period three years later.
He also worked in the State Technical Investigation Branch.
His father Ian is a retired sergeant.
