A 60-year-old mother died after he had been in a coma for more than 30 years after a car accident killed her baby daughter.
Luigina Brustolin had spent more than half of her life in a coma on 23 May 1992 after the deadly accident in Pederobba, in the Italian province of Treviso.
Mrs. Brustolin, then 27, was seriously injured, while her one and a half year old daughter, Sara, was transported to the hospital in a serious condition, but died after 35 days.
Now, 33 years later, Mrs. Brustolin also died.
In a statement, her family said: “After all this time, she became a member of her little girl.”
Mrs. Brustonlin, who had worked in a shoe factory, had driven her little girl in the backseat with her little girl when she collided with a Nissan Primera, powered by a 46-year-old local.
It is still unclear what exactly happened and an alleged witness who is believed to have seen the accident have never been detected.
She was only married for a few years and had been for less than two mother.
After the accident, Luigina's mother took care of her for 17 years before she died.

Her husband, named Franco, eventually found a new partner and two children were born from the new marriage. They are now 25 and 23 years old, according to reports.
Franco said his children knew Mrs. Brustonlin as' Aunt Luigina 'and said:' I started a new life and this did not go well with some people.
“However, I never left Luigina. On Saturday and Sunday I brought her to my house: for my children who were small, she was just Aunt Luigina. The last time I visited her was a month ago. '
The condition of Mrs Brustonlin deteriorated last week, which led to her death on 7 February, according to Italian media, after spending 33 years in a coma.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday 12 February at 3 p.m. in the parish church of Colberttaldo.
