A seven -year -old boy was part of a group of activists who dressed in Drag to lobby a city in Massachusetts to become a sanctuary for transgender people.
The Worcester city council voted on Tuesday to become a safe heaven for transmenses and those who 'are diverse'.
The motion, which passed 9-2, was submitted by resident Allie Cislo on behalf of the 'Queer residents of Worcester', as reported by WCVB.
Dozens of people who seemed to be in Drag told the council passionately that they were worried about their safety under the Trump administration.
They were accompanied by a young boy who demanded that the city promised not to recognize anti -transthans federal policy and to ensure that the LGBTQ+ community has access to health care, housing, education and work without fearing.
'People here try to control the rights of others and that is not true. We must make Worcester a sanctuary to transmenes. Everyone deserves to feel safe and everyone must feel safe.
'I have lived here for four years … My birthday is this Saturday and I only want peace and for you to vote yes.
