Wrexham has confirmed that midfielder Elliot Lee was taken to the hospital after a car accident after their match against Bolton on Tuesday evening.
“Wrexham AFC can confirm that last night, after the Vertu-trophy match against Bolton Wanderers, a player in the first team (Elliot Lee) was involved in a traffic incident on returning home,” read a statement.
'The incident concerned another car and resulted in the drivers of both cars that were taken to the hospital. Emergency services were quickly on site and the club would like to thank them for their quick response and action.
'The player has not suffered any major injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle is treated for their injuries.
“The club will not give any further comments at this stage.”
Lee had recorded 1-0 win over Bolton in the Vertu-Trophy on Tuesday evening.

Lee, the son of former Premier League -midfielder Rob, is an important player for Wrexham since he came to the club in 2022.
