The Sustain Coastal Project, which is run by the Spirit of Norfolk and Wavey, is considered the first of its kind in the UK and will offer therapy and activities for those who experience anger or 'overwhelming sadness'.
These would include monthly walk and talk groups, drop-in welfare sessions and one-on-one support meetings.
The service – which is partially funded by government money – will initially be aimed at the villages of Happisburgh and Trimingham, which in particular run the risk of the elements, but can be offered 'about Norfolk' by a 'collaboration with partners'.

The Mental Health Scheme is financed by the Environment Agency, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Coastwise Coastal Transition Fund in collaboration with North Norfolk District Council and is supported by the Climate Psychology Alliance.
