The Trump government dismissed the Inspector General of USAID only one day after he had given a strong warning about the state of affairs within the organization.
Inspector General Paul Martin was dumped without mercy on Tuesday via an e -mail from the Deputy Director of the Office of Presidential Staff, who said his role was' terminated, immediately in force.

Martin started in the role in December 2023. The government is legally obliged to inform the congress for 30 days if an inspector general has to be dismissed.
They are also obliged to justify the decision.
Martin is now joining 19 other inspectors -general of federal departments fired under the new government of Trump.
