The Brazilian woman accused of killing three family members with a poisoned Christmas cake was found dead in her prison.
Deise Moura Dos Anjos, 42, was found lifeless this morning in her cell in a women's prison in Gaiba on the outskirts of the southern city of Porto Alegre.
Police heads say they deal with death as suicide and sources in a regional emergency aid service, said she seemed to have hung herself.
Dise was taken in prison on January 6 on suspicion of three murders and three attempted murders.
Her mother -in -law Zeli Dos Anjos had baked the cake that was eaten by various family members on December 23 and later turned out to be infected with flour with arsenic.
The victims, including Zeli, took several snacks and discovered that it had a 'spicy' taste, while the family collected for coffee, police chief Marcos Veloso told RBS TV at the time.
Zeli, 61, was admitted to the hospital but survived.
Her teacher Maida Bernice Flores da Silva, 58, another brother or sister named Neuza Denize Silva Dos Anjos, 65 and Neuza's daughter Tatiana Silvia Dos Santos, 43, died within hours of eating the cake.
Tatiana's 10-year-old son Matheus, Zeli's big cousin, was also put in intensive care and spent a few days in the hospital. Maida's husband Jefferson also needed hospital treatment.
Dise protested against her innocence, but the police burned her an alleged 'serial killer' after her arrest.

The police in Torres in southern Brazil, where the three victims of Gif died, said during a press conference after her detention that the proof that they had 'robust' to her.
