JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon closed employees who had requested the newly initiated five-day return-to-office policy of the financial giant.
During an animated town hall meeting on Wednesday, the 68-year-old was questioned about the petition that has collected around 950 signatures.
In a recording that was assessed by Reuters, Dimon said: “Don't waste time on it. I don't care how many people who sign f ****** petition. '
Employees of the largest bank in the country have complained about internal pin boards and chats about losing their hybrid work schemes.
Dimon demanded more efficiency and emphasized that employees have the choice whether they will continue to work at JPMorgan.
He said they should not be angry with him about the roller out of the external work policy, and told employees that it was a free country.
Dimon said that the staff did not pay attention during zoom meetings, which reduced efficiency and creativity.
He also said that requirements in the office would not be left to managers, and added: 'There is no chance that I will leave it to managers. No chance. The abuse that took place is extraordinary. '

The profit from JPMorgan rose to a record in 2024 and the stock price has doubled in the last five years.
The strong performance led some employees to wonder why they had to spend more time in the office.
Dimon's position is shared by many Wall Street leaders and President Donald Trump, who demanded the end of remote control for those in the federal government.
At the end of last month, President Trump said that federal employees who did not show up to work in their offices in February would be fired.
He also said that some might have to prove that they do not work a second job and threaten employees with two performances with dismissal.
'We have announced the federal workforce that if they work for the federal government, they have to come to the office on time and on schedule.
“If they don't agree to get back to work in their office by 6 February, they will be terminated,” he added.
Trump noted that as a result of his command, he expected some shrinking of the federal workforce.
“We think a very considerable number of people will not show up to work, and therefore our government will become smaller and more efficient,” he said.

Dimon's comments come after the company ordered its managers to return to the office full -time in 2023.
Execs asked those who are in charge of 'leading a good example' and returning to the office five days a week, even imminent consequences.
The year before, Dimon also led an indictment to get employees back to the office five days a week.
Last month a new study showed that working from home can be bad for your health, because the lifestyle sitting lifestyle encourages them.
A study by people who started their first job received an extra 28 minutes a day of moderate physical activity, such as walking or cycling.
But those who worked from home saw an average decrease of 32 minutes in their moderate physical activity.
Researchers compared 128 people who worked from home with more than 3,000 who went to an office or another workplace.
The decrease in physical activity for people who worked at home, based on the analysis, was the equivalent of 32 -minute moderate activity per day, or 16 minutes of powerful activity per day.
