Sir Keir Starmer will today pave the way to build a dozen new cities with 'beautiful' designs inspired by the king's housing developments.
The prime minister will unveil plans for the 'largest home construction program since the post -war era' with the next generation of new cities.
He wants construction work to start within five years, and British construction workers are trained – instead of trusting foreign work.
More than 100 potential locations throughout England have been presented, and recommendations about which to follow this summer will be made.
London, the southeast, southwest and east of England had the largest number of entries, but proposals were received from every region of the country.
Most proposals were for urban extensions to existing villages or cities, but some of the dozens of new cities that have been set up are on its own settlements.
Ministers want every new city to have 10,000 or more houses, together with affordable homes, general practitioners, schools and public transport.
Downing Street said that the new communities would be 'beautiful', which Sir Keir said yesterday that reporters meant 'well -designed', property -led property with 'variety'.

“There are functions that I think are important, such as variation, such as roads that are not all straight, so you get a natural variation in the way,” the prime minister said.
'A beautiful house is something that is quite difficult to define, but well designed and led by the community is important. That will almost always mean that they are different, because every community will say that they want to do something different. '
Sir Keir suggested that he would inspire himself by the developments of the king, such as Nansledan, an extension of 540 hectares on the coastal city of Newquay, which he visited with the prince earlier this week.

Asked if he would get inspiration from the king's communities, Sir Keir said that he was 'really interested' and his recent visit had hit him by the quality of the buildings.
The PM also challenged MPs who may try to block developments in their areas. He said, “I see it as” whose side are you on? “Because you ultimately want to give people the dream of home ownership and that you want to understand or not in a kind of emotional way.
'It makes no sense to give a nice speech about the importance of home ownership if you are not willing to accept the Nimbys and the Blockers. That is what happened, in my opinion. '

Sir Keir, however, admitted that new cities could be built on existing green Gordelland – although I emphasized that they were local authorities who have emerged with suggestions of places to be eligible for new cities.
A separate project to continue with stalled housing projects has already unblocked 20,000 houses, Sir Keir said.
The government is committed to building 1.5 million houses in England in the next five years.
