President Donald Trump's new health leader Robert F. Kennedy Jr. indicated that his number one priority will end the chronic epidemic in children in the next four years.
RFK Jr. Was sworn in the office on Thursday afternoon as a health and human service secretary in the White House, around his family, after he was confirmed by the Senate.
“20 years old I got up on my knees every morning and prayed that God would bring me into a position where I could end the chronic epidemic in children in this country,” Kennedy said in the oval office, standing next to Trump.
He continued with the prizes of the 78-year-old president and said he had kept every promise since they met last August.
Kennedy did not get into detail in his short comments about how he would take on the challenge for him, but he said that the US cannot be a strong nation if it has a 'weak citizens'.
He noticed a recent Pentagon study that said that 77 percent of young Americans would not be eligible for the army.
Kennedy will now supervise 13 divisions and agencies, including the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

His sworn came hours after he was confirmed by the Senate after an annoying confirmation battle.
Kennedy was placed under the microscope and placed by Democrats for his earlier anti-vaccine work and promoting conspiracy theories.
Eventually he was almost confirmed by festive lines with a voice of 52 to 48.
Senator Mitch McConnell was the only Republican who voted against his confirmation with every Democrat.
McConnell, a polio survivor, closed Kennedy in a statement stating that the 70-year-old vaccine skeptic had a record of 'Trade in dangerous conspiracy theories and eroding trust in public health institutions. '
McConnell said Kennedy “Don't prove that he is the best possible person who leads the largest health agency in America.”
Democrats, while they praise efforts to improve Americans' health, shot the appointment of Kennedy.
They claimed that he was unqualified and spent for years of scientific data and rejected.
Other Republicans also expressed their concern about the nominee prior to his confirmation, but came on board with Kennedy after he had been given several reassurance by him and the administration that he would work as a secretary with the congress, support vaccines and follow science.
