The grandfather of Patrick Mahomes Randy died at the age of 78, has announced the mother of the Chiefs Quarterback.
Last month it was revealed that the Mahomes grandfather had moved to Hospice Care for a little more than 48 hours before he insured his place in the Super Bowl.
Five days after the crushing defeat of Kansas City against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, Patrick's mother Randi has announced that her father died.
“Hard to find the words of holding my father's hand while he goes to heaven,” wrote Randi next to a series of photos of her and Dad Randy.
“I know he's in a better place. I love you dad. Well done, good and loyal servant '.
