Rob Burrows's robbed wife is open about the heartbreaking moment when her husband gave her the sign that he could not continue.
The former rugby star, 41, was in a hospital fan after developing pneumonia, unable to communicate and paralyzed by motor neuron disease (mnd).
Lindsey Burrow, 42, knew that her husband had succumbed to the disease when he started to refuse medication or even a sip of water after he had made the diagnosis four years earlier.
'Rob, I know you are really tired. Have you had enough? “She asked him. He looked to the left.
On their simply to communicate, Rob would throw his eye to yes and on the right for no.
“I wanted to cry,” Lindsey told the sun. 'I knew what I asked and I had to know that it was really what he wanted.
“I just kept him in my arms for a long time until he fell asleep. I thought I could cry with the pain, but he had had enough. He had fought against his fight. '
Lindsey has revealed How her family was able to make important memories with Rob in the lead until his death on 2 June last year.

The night before his death, the couple looked at their wedding video one last time Room in the Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
They watched the video with his mother Irene and his sisters Claire and Joanne.
The three children of the couple, Macy, Maya, Nine and Jackson, six, painted their father's fingers with rainbow -colored ink to press his fingerprints into their memory book.
In recent months, Macy and Maya spent rehearsing for a musical show on that evening where Rob stated that they were still going.
When they returned, they showed their father a recording of the performance of which Lindsey said she lifted 'really' Rob and put a 'big smile' on his face.
Lindsey remembered how Rob's Health started to deteriorate in March last year when his texts began to be confusing and was unable to send her at all by May.
Weeks before his death, Lindsey said she felt that her family had entered a “dark zone, a limbo between life and death.”
Rob, however, still continued to go with his family on days and, in the conviction that they were at borrowed time, Lindsey wore him from his room down to their home cinema room so that he could watch a movie with their children.

The next day he was taken to the hospital for the last time.
Lindsey and Rob were young people with their love story starting when they were both 15.
She said earlier in a BBC documentary that there was never any doubt that they would get married – although her father had encouraged her to marry someone for a long time. But she filled 5ft5ins Rob and said they had the 'perfect life' together.
She said: 'There would never be anyone else who I would marry. I knew it from the start. He treated me like a princess. It was love at first sight. It can be a cliché, but it was true for me '.
Rob was diagnosed with MND in 2019, only two years after his retirement from a 17-season competition career. He won eight Super League titles with Leeds Rhinos, but after the diagnosis of the disease he devoted himself to increasing consciousness and funds for the MND community.
His courage and fundraising efforts saw him get a MBE in 2022. Last January he and former rugby teammate Kevin Sinfield CBE received awards from Prince William.
The couple, both played for Leeds Rhinos, brought £ 16 million together after Rob's diagnosis.
Their moving band was clear when Kevin crossed his friend's finish line at the Leeds Marathon in 2023- after he had pushed him into a wheelchair during the debilitating run.

The couple was clearly emotional when they exceeded the finish line to enormous cheers of the looking crowd.
Kevin was photographed when he gave his former teammate a kiss of affection to mark the moment they exceeded the border.
Rob said at the time: 'The marathon was one of the most important and special events I did and meant so many things with so many people.
'But for me it was about friendship and exceeding the finish line with my partner KEV will always live with me and it will create a platform to raise money and consciousness for MND -Good goals'.
