Newly appointed national intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard has revealed the moving reason that she never considered coloring the gray stripe in her hair.
Gabbard joined the Hawaii Army National Guard in 2003 and served in both Iraq and Kuwait before climbing the ranks to become a lieutenant colonel, during what time she was deployed in the horn of Africa.
During her first bet in Iraq in 2004, she started to note that she developed the small piece of gray hair to the front of her face.
Now the grim contrast of the gray against her shock of long, dark hair has become part of her characteristic glamorous look – despite cruel trolls that compared her to Cruella de Vil and encouraged her to paint it.
“I chose to keep it as a daily memory of the terrible war costs, which pays the war prize and the importance of peace,” she said in 2019.
In the same year, reporter Brian Schactman De Gray Streep compared to a character of 'Poltergeist' and asked if it was similar to a birthmark.
“It's not a birthmark,” she said. “My generation would say that it looks more like Rogue of X men than poltergegeist.”
Gabbard responded to cruel trolls who asked if she would 'repair' the streak by noting that there is nothing that must be 'resolved'.
“I don't know what you mean by 'fix', she said.

She was considered an unconventional choice to supervise and coordinate the 18 intelligence services of the country, given her earlier comments that are sympathetic to Russia, a meeting she held with the now deposited Syrian President Bashar Assad and her previous support for Government leaker Edward Snowden.
The military veteran and former Democratic Congressman from Hawaii was confirmed on Wednesday with a voice of 52-48.

The slender republican majority of the Senate was able to avert the democratic opposition, with the only 'no' of Republicans who came from Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell.
Gabbard promised to work to 're -focus' the intelligence community in accordance with Trump's vision.
“Unfortunately, the American people have very little faith in the intelligence community, especially because they have seen the armament and politicization of an entity that is supposed to be purely focused on guaranteeing our national security,” she said.
During Gabbard's sworn ceremony, Trump called her a 'courageous and often lonely voice' and urged her to 'stay as you are'.
“She will be clear and she will concentrate on the threat of radical Islamic terrorism and also many other threats, threats from within,” Trump said.
