An outgoing malfunction means that thousands of BT customers are said to have no access to BT -e -mail services.
Down detector of the failure tracking site shows reports of malfunctions that start to worry around 5 am and received more than 5,000 complaints from customers, BBC News reported.
On its website, BT apologized to affected customers and said it is “the cause investigating.” Other services, including broadband, TV and mobile packages, seem to be unaffected.
A spokesperson for BT told the metro: 'We are aware that some BT -Mail customers have no access to their e -mail on webmail and via the app.
“We are investigating the cause of this and we are sorry that the discomfort was caused.”
'As an alternative, customers can disable WiFi and use mobile data to gain access to their e -mail. No other BT service is influenced. '
A user wrote: 'I can't even put into words how angry and upset I am [BT] Just now, absolute nightmare and extremely useless. '
Many customers expressed their frustrations about the lack of visible communication of BT about the status of their service.

BT customers went to social media to broadcast their grievances over the malfunctions, which means that Found itself has no access to their e -mail
One said: '#BT #BTinternet Hello, I can see that the e -mail server is tailored, but nothing on your site to let us know that there are problems.
'Come on boys, it would not be difficult to add a banner of the service status stating that you have problems and be sure that you are working on it. Customer service 101! '
Another user added: 'This seems like a big problem with [BT] E -mail. But you wouldn't know about their website or help lines, etc. zero information everywhere. '
The BBC said the malfunction in the entire English and Scotland struck, with complaints that flow in as far away as Aberdenshire and Dumfries to Warwick, Norfolk and Wakefield.
