A magistrate is disciplined for misconduct after he has been referring to a female colleague as a 'trolley dolly' in reference to work as stewardess.
Michael Barnes, a lay magistrate in Greater Manchester, admitted that he had made the comment about a fellow justice of the peace who was also an Air guest woman because she considered a verdict, The Times reported.
The 57-year-old claimed that he had acted 'in a light-hearted way' when he refers to the work of his colleague, according to the judicial behavioral investigation (JCIO).
The JCIO reported that Barnes admitted that he had referred to the complainant as a trolley dolly ', although he claimed to use the term in the light of the complainant himself used to describe her job.

Barnes was also supposed to have made a sarcastic remark about her completion of a diploma in law through distanced learning – also known as remote or online learning.
A committee described the comments of the Magistrate as 'recklessly numb' and ruled that they caused emotional fear, although it accepted a apology of Barnes about his excavation in the air crew position of his colleague.
However, Barnes failed to tackle the complaint that he had undermined the diploma.
He received a 'formal warning' – the second most drastic that can be given to magistrates and sitting judges.
