Trump was also charged by a large jury for conspiracy to cheat the US for his role in an attempt to destroy the 2020 election result and his behavior during the Uprising of Capitool on January 6.
Smith resigned on January 10 after Trump scooped that he would dismiss Smith 'within two seconds' from his recruitment if he won the elections.
Before he resigned, Smith external council of Peter Koski retained at Covington & Burling – the largest law firm in Washington DC.
Smith's last disclosure report included the Pro Bono Legal Services in the context of the gifts and travel allowances section.

Trump had more than a dozen lawyers who worked under Smith, fired within a few days of his inauguration, followed by others who continued on January 4.

One of the parts in the Smith report relates to the possession of Trump of national security documents to Mar-A-Lago
Joe Biden did not give Smith a preventive grace before he left office, unlike the house 6 January committee members, health boss Anthony Fauci and former joint Chiefs chairman and frequent Trump critic, Mark Milley.
An investigation into Smith has never been proposed, but Trump's Attorney General Pam Bondi has set up a thin-veiled 'working group' that the Ministry of Justice 'armed'.
'Weaponization by special counselor Jack Smith and his staff who spent more than $ 50 million on President Trump, and the prosecutors and law enforcement staff who participated in the unprecedented raid on President Trump's house' was an identified target of the group.
Smith has ties with various lawyers in Covington & Burling, including Lanny Breuer, who represents him next to Koski.
Breuer ran the criminal division of the Ministry of Justice in 2009 to 2013 and Smith recruited in 2010. He has since strongly defended him during the Trump probe.
Alan Vinegrad was the American lawyer for the eastern district of New York, making him Smith's boss when he worked there.
Former American Attorney General under Barack Obama, Eric Holder, is another partner at the powerful law firm.
