The news comes a few months after Princess Iman's niece was born. Last summer Iman's older brother, crown prince Hussein of Jordan, had a baby girl he called Iman after his sister.
In August last year, Princess Rajwa, the wife of Prince Hussein, the eldest of the children of the Jordanian Royal, announced that they had their first child.
According to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Iman is not in line with the throne and her baby is not allowed to be.
The throne will be passed on by the dynasty of King Abdullah Ibn al-Hussein, after a hereditary line of male heirs.
Article 28 of the Constitution of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan reads: 'The royal title will pass from the holder of the throne to his eldest son, then to the eldest son of that eldest son, and in linear follow -up in a similar process afterwards. When the eldest son dies before the throne approaches him, his eldest son will inherit the throne, even if the deceased has brothers. However, the king can select one of his brothers as an heir. In this case, the title of the throne will pass him off the holder of the throne. '
Even if Hussein has no sons, the Constitution would dictate that his younger brother takes over Prince Hashem as king.
After the birth of Hussein's daughter, the Royal Hashemite court released a brief explanation stating that the baby was called Iman, after his younger sister.
In a video posted on the official Instagram page of Rajwa, Hussein rocked his newborn daughter to the soundtrack of you are my sunshine.

Rajwa, 30, was born in Riyadh from a prominent and rich Saudi -Aarabic family who was distant to the current ruler of the country, King Salman.
Hussein, also 30, was called Crown Prince in 2004, at the age of 15, after Abdullah had released his own half-brother, Prince Hamzah.
